Another forthcoming Dead Rats Cycles project is this beautiful and fully renovated vintage Townsend ladies steel frame in 49cm size, ready for a custom build. I’ve now begun building this frame up as a custom retro/mod cafe racer, spec to include 16-speed Shimano STI drivetrain with FSA crankset & Tiagra hubs, and tuned Tektro R559 brakes. To complement the all-silver component choices, finishing kit will include vintage SR handlebars, stem and fluted seatpost, and new Specialized Riva saddle, plus retro grey cabling & brake pads. It’s looking very, very nice so be sure to check back for the finished bike.
