Late 1970s Harry Hall 531

This week I finished Joao’s late 1970s Harry Hall 531 road bike which has been completely rebuilt with the rear wheel respoked plus new tyres, freewheel, chain, cables, bottom bracket, Kool Stop pads and Brooks bar tape.  Plenty of TLC too as almost everything was seized or misaligned when Joao brought it in a few weeks ago!  DRC also supplied a replacement SR seatpost and period front wheel with a Mavic Module E rim to match the rear.  The bikes runs a Campagnolo Nuovo Record headset, derailleurs and shifters, Super Record brakes and a Shimano 600 chainset, with Cinelli bars & stem, Ofmega rear hub and Sunshine high flange up front, plus a lovely Brooks B17 saddle and Allez quill pedals with MKS strapless clips.  Built as a clean and solid rider (rather than a garage queen) with bags of patina and charm, and I enjoyed my first test ride immensely!
