Vitus 787 Futural flat bar 1×9

Notes: the Vitus has 126mm rear spacing on the frame (to suit 6/7 speed) and is not suitable for cold-setting, so in order to fit a 9 speed cassette, the hub – a stunning NOS 16 hole Shimano Dura-Ace FH-7700 – was spaced down to fit the frame, with the rim dished to suit, and chainline adjusted accordingly on the single ringed Campagnolo chainset.  The width of the material on the Vitus drop-outs absorbs the excess axle length.  The SRAM Rocket trigger shifter is Shimano 2:1 compatible.  So yes all three big brands on the drivetrain!  An insanely fast flat bar urban conversion for this rare cyclocross spec French beauty, similar to the race-proven 979 but with higher BB(?), greater tyre clearance (sadly not utilised) and canti brake bosses.
