Elswick Invincible – part 2

So she’s stripped down and ready for restoration. Amazingly the stem, seatpost and fixed bottom bracket cup all came out with no traumas, we just soaked the whole bike in penetrating spray overnight and out / off everything came! We’ve also started on cleaning up the chromework… we’re going to try and use as much of the original bike as possible – but if the budget permits a nice sprung leather Brooks saddle then we’ll be on the look out for one. We can also confirm that she was made in 1957, making her the oldest bike we’ve ever restored by a good few years :D
