1990s Saracen Skyline

I’ve just about finished Tom’s ‘new’ winter build, based around his lovely 531 Saracen frameset (built on the Dawes Galaxy frame production line according to some articles I’ve read elsewhere online) in enormous 63cm c-t size.  It’s a bit of a mixture of newer parts, most of which were supplied to me to fit, but the bike works like a charm.  It’s in desperate need of rack & mudguards but otherwise this is a no-nonsense, bombproof build for light touring and year-round commuting.  The bar end shifters & front mech make it ‘triple-ready’ if & when the need arises for lower gear ratios, and Shimano’s CX50 brakes work pretty well with drop bar levers.  I hope this one’s a keeper ;)
