1982 SANGAL – part 7 – wheels

Wheelbuilding is without a doubt one of the most interesting & involving areas in my profession and it’s been a pleasure to utilise this skill in the restoration of Rita – Joao’s vintage Sangal. As per the original bike I’ve rebuilt his wheels in a four cross pattern which is possible due to the high flange design of the Maillard hubs. This, along with the double butted spokes, should result in great durability and give Rita a responsive and very supple ride.
