Projects…

With the new workshop at full steam, and the cycling season in full swing, I’ve barely had time to post any updates on what’s been happening here at DRC HQ.  So here are a few of some of the various vintage restorations, customers’ rides and other custom projects you can expect to see in the shop soon.

Also scheduled (but not pictured) are a retro modern Reynolds 520 framed disc tourer, 1999 Giant CFR Pro, 1996 Marin Bobcat Trail, 1988 Specialized Rockhopper Comp, 1989 Peugeot Barracuda, mid 1980s Vitus 979, 1970s Peugeot P20 and a 1932 Raleigh gent’s bike.  These are the jobs that add a bit of spice to the regular servicing and repair work that’s our bread & butter…

1973 Gudereit compact folding shopper, for restoration. Saddle not shown but I have it. In reasonably good condition, bar some corrosion.  Now finished and for sale!

1951 Hercules roadster, for restoration. A stunner that’s sat unused for many years. Lots of work to do, frame is sound though.

Custom 1970s British Eagle fixed, in for finishing work and tuning, for Jess.

1949 English roadster, for possible restoration or the basis for a special.

c.1980 Dawes road bike, in for finishing work and tuning. Needs new tyres, replacement fork and quill stem and general set-up work, for Laura.

1970s Venetia mixte, in for servicing & repair, for Alex.

Stunning 1990 Araya RM-20 on Deore DX wheelset, earmarked for our Saracen Trekker ‘double-U’ build. Really excited about this! Frame is being refinished now, also thanks to Pete and Carl.
