Available now at our Chorlton workshop is this wickedly fast 1985 Vitus 979 Duralinox 51cm vintage road bike. Based around one of the most successful racing frames of all time, the retro-futuristic 979 is one of my all-time favourites particularly in this small size, blending compliance and stiffness in a beautiful lightweight package. Built in the DRC workshop from frame up, this sub 9kg streak features handbuilt wheels, 14 speed Shimano 500EX drivetrain and a lovely leather Selle C2 saddle. New cassette, chain, cables, bottom bracket, bar tape, seatpost and brakes. STI brifters available as optional extras, rather than downtube shifters.
