This lovely old 531ST tourer has just spent a week in our workshop for a very thorough refurbishment service. Budget did not permit a complete restoration but it’s still received a new chain, cassette, brake pads, bar tape, cables and stainless steel fittings plus a full service, wheels truing and custom paintwork touch-up and we also sourced suitable old skool pedals and a NOS Biopace chainring and jockey wheels for the rebuild. The finishing touch was a pair of Zefal mudguards to match the owner’s water bottle cage! Here’s the Randonneur on its first test ride after all the work is complete…
