This R-20 was restored for Marianne by Dead Rats Cycles in July 2019 for the owner’s Tweed Run adventures, and tootling around her hometown of Alderley Edge. With its stunning colourway and 99% original spec (right down to the ‘R’ nuts) the bike also came with matching front & rear luggage and is equipped with a fully operational 3 speed Sturmey Archer AG Dynohub with twist-shifter, loads of gleaming Raleigh chromework and a Brooks mattress saddle. With its ‘self-adjusting’ brake levers, original Raleigh Record tyres and cute dice valve caps, needless to say the bike has been a real talking point in the workshop… definitely the nicest Shopper I’ve ever seen, we were a little sad to see it go!
