Max’s gorgeous Ernie Clements after some detailing and tuning in the workshop. The bike, which runs a 9 speed Campagnolo Mirage drivetrain and hubs with later Shimano brake calipers, was brought to DRC in fairly good order though most definitely in need of some dialling in. Recently refurbished fairly recently, the only new parts required were a pair of Schwalbe Marathon tyres as the bike is regularly ridden on some rough roads. I also used Autosol to carefully restore the lovely chrome-plated stays, forks and head tube lugs which had grown a rash of rust. A very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours!
