Jonno’s glorious Bob Jackson after some fettling in the DRC workshop. Another detail & dial job for which I supplied a classic Campagnolo front derailleur, cleaned and set-up the gears with a new chain, reamed out the seat tube for the very smart new Velo Orange post and generally fine-tuned for a couple of hours. Highlights of the owner’s eclectic spec list for me are the close-ratio 14 speed drivetrain complete with half-step front and corn-cob rear gearing, the elegant Simplex shifters, the deep H Plus Son rims and the Cinelli bars & stem… but it’s all about the frameset really, with its fabulous chrome head tube lugs and fork crown, and its Campagnolo dropouts and headset.
